About the Proposals category

Discuss Superfluid Improvement Proposals (SIPs).

SuperfluidDAO may propose, vote on and implement Superfluid Improvement Proposals (SIPs) following this process (see Constitution for details).

SIPs on Superfluid Snapshot will have a link to a discussion thread in this space.

For SUP Ecosystem Campaign Applications there is a separate category - please use that.

SIP Format

SIPs should include the following information.

  1. Abstract - Two or three sentences that summarize the SIP.
  2. Type - Constitutional OR Non Constitutional
  3. Motivation - A statement on why the Superfluid community should implement the SIP.
  4. Rationale - An explanation of how the SIP aligns with the Superfluid community mission and guiding values.
  5. Key Terms (optional) - Definitions of any terms within the proposal that are unique to the proposal, new to the Superfluid community, and/or industry specific.
  6. Specifications - A detailed breakdown of the platforms and technologies that will be used.
  7. Steps to Implement - The steps to implement the SIP, including associated costs, manpower, and other resources for each step where applicable. For the avoidance of doubt, any SIPs involving transactions with third parties (such as grants) will need to ensure that applicable legal documentation and procedures are also included.
  8. Timeline - Relevant timing details, including but not limited to start date, milestones, and completion dates.
  9. Overall Cost - The total cost to implement the SIP.
