Season 3 ideas : DripPay - Onchain Payroll & Invoicing for DAOs & Web3 Teams

  1. Proposal Title
DripPay: Powering the Onchain Workforce with Seamless Superfluid Streams on Scroll

  2. Executive Summary
DAOs and Web3 teams struggle with manual, unscalable crypto payments and invoicing. DripPay offers a clean, crypto-native platform on Scroll, leveraging Superfluid to enable instant and per-second payouts, alongside integrated onchain invoicing. This streamlines decentralized finance, driving significant Superfluid adoption and usage.

  3. Problem Statement: The Unscalable Onchain Payroll Mess
Current Web3 compensation is broken. Thousands of DAOs and teams rely on error-prone spreadsheets and manual wallet transfers, leading to:

  • Costly & Opaque Payments: Manual crypto payments lack invoices, tracking, and create financial visibility headaches.
  • Stifled Cash Flow: Batch payments mean unnecessary float for payers and unpredictable income for earners.
  • Growth Bottleneck: Unscalable processes prevent DAOs and Web3 startups from efficient expansion.

Onchain work is booming, but its payroll infrastructure is stuck in the past.

  1. Solution: DripPay - Your Crypto-Native Finance Hub

DripPay fixes this with a comprehensive, crypto-native platform:

  • True Crypto-Native: Built for Web3, eliminating traditional banking friction.
  • Instant & Streaming Payouts: Pay instantly or leverage granular, per-second money streams for flexible compensation.
  • Built on Scroll: Benefits from Scroll’s low fees, high throughput, and EVM compatibility for smooth transactions.
  • One-Click Onchain Invoicing: Integrated invoicing provides transparent, verifiable, and easily traceable financial records directly onchain.
  • Intuitive UX: Powerful tech, simple interface – making crypto payroll accessible to everyone.
  1. Market Opportunity & Fit: Why DripPay Now?

The market is ripe for DripPay:

  • Onchain Work Surging: Rapid growth of decentralized teams and contributors demands specialized payroll.
  • Treasurers’ Pain: Founders and DAO treasurers desperately need professional tools to manage compensation.
  • Earners’ Demand: Freelance devs and creators want instant, flexible access to their crypto earnings.
  • Critical Infrastructure Gap: DripPay fills a crucial void for scalable, compliant, and user-friendly onchain payroll.
  1. Impact & Metrics

DripPay’s success means direct, measurable impact for Superfluid:

  • Efficiency Boost: One-click invoicing + real-time payouts slash manual effort.

  • Improved Cash Flow: Payers optimize capital; earners get instant liquidity and stability.

  • Quantifiable Superfluid Usage:

    • New Superfluid Streams (CFAs/IDAs) created via DripPay.
    • Total Value Streamed (TVS) in USDC tokens.
    • Unique Streamers/Receivers interacting with Superfluid via DripPay.
    • Number of DAOs/Teams onboarded to Superfluid through DripPay.
  • Ecosystem Expansion: DripPay acts as a vital on-ramp, deepening Superfluid’s reach and utility.

Is there any reason for you to use Scroll?
I think there could also be an approach to support other chains after initially launching on Base.

We’re building this product around an open economy that empowers early-stage products and it is backed by Scroll.
Scroll is just the beginning. Our goal is to expand across chains to ensure broader accessibility and adoption.

Hey @krishn great to see you have started building using Superfluid.

We do have some questions about the project

  1. If I understand correctly it is in early beta stages, is there a timeline you are aiming to launch the project to the public? Have you got a roadmap laid out that you might want to share? I was not able to sign in to it.

  2. Are you planning to create SuperApps for managing the payrolls or just use the CFA/GDA as is?

  3. Have you already done the invoicing part of the application? Are you using the subgraph for those calculations?

  4. Have you had any interest shown into the app from other DAOs/Teams? What are your current plans to grow the project.

Hello @Elvijs thanks for commenting.

  1. We are aiming to launch the project at the end of august 2025, I have roadmap.
  • We have launched DripPay’s beta testing via updated link staging with a simple flow where employer / payer can instant pay to receiver and payroll receipt generated. You can get it via click on watch demo on home page of the staging link.
  • After certain confirmation we are thinking to soft launch of main.
  • Note: for testing we use ETH-ETHx and for mainnet we use USDC-USDCx
  1. We will use SuperApp to automate payrolls and trigger our custom logics.

  2. Yes, Invoicing part is done in staging and testing Mainnet also

  • Here is X post where i have posted regarding my first payroll test on USDC Scroll mainnet.
  1. The aim of staging is to onboard early freelancer / DAOs / web3 teams to test and probably showing them how drippay useful to them, building with iteration of user feedbacks.

Thanks, Happy to answer your further questions.
