Degen Dogs
Background:
Degen Dogs were born at ETHGlobal ETHOnline 2021, on a testnet long-since deprecated. Named a Finalist and winner of “Best Superfluid Project”, Degen Dogs combined NFTs with DeFi. The proceeds from Nouns-style auctions were automatically investing in DeFi tokens and streamed to Dog owners using a complex ponzi-esque “streamonomics” formula. Launched in production on Polygon on 3.14 of 2022. In late 2024, the Dogs embarked (pun intended) on “Mission 2”, which teleported the Dogs from Polygon to Degen Chain and the Farcaster ecosystem. Taking advantage of 200% yields on DEGEN tipping allowances, this yield, plus the ongoing auction proceeds, plus tradings fees were used to buy $WOOF, a bonding-curve token powered by MintClub. WOOF was then wrapped as WOOFx and streamed to all Dog owners. During Mission 2, over 200 Dogs were auctioned, first via a Farcaster “frame” and then via a “mini app”, with active bidders for every single auction.
Mission 3:
Launched with Season 4 of SPR rewards, Mission 3 teleported the Dogs once again, this time to Base 
. Daily auctions continued, now with bidding in native ETH. WOOF was re-deployed on Base as a pure super token via Streme, with staking built-in. Auction proceeds and trading fees are being channeled into WOOF and SUP and streamed to Dog owners. In fact, Degen Dog owners are earning up to 5 rewards streams: three streaming WOOF (main stream, staking rewards, and vault bonus) and two streaming SUP (main stream and SUP SPR season 4). The mini app lists all 5 reward streams.
Season 4 Results:
Degen Dogs was allocated 1.9M SUP in Season 4. Existing Dog owners received 1 XP for teleporting a Dog from Degen chain and 100 XP for winning an auction on Base. The objective was to heavily incentive auction bidding, attract new members to the community and drive higher winning bids, which fuel the flywheel, as all auction proceeds are ultimately streamed to all Dog owners. This has achieved the desired effect, with early auctions ending with winning bids as high as 0.3 ETH and many new bidders, who had never made a bid duing previous missions. Season 5 Proposal:
In season 5, we will continue to incentivize auction bidding with the goal of fueling the flywheel and expanding the community while introducing more people to the power of streaming powered by Superfluid.
