Season 7 ideas - Established project - Markee 🪧

Season 7 ideas - Established project - Markee :placard:

Markee is launching For Rent: sign spots paid for with live Superfluid streams.

On top of our legacy lump sum payment strategy to set a message (now branded as “For Sale” signs), the top spot on a Markee is now rented through a continuous Superfluid stream. The highest active stream rate holds the spot for as long as it’s winning. Anyone can take it over by opening a higher stream. And anyone can set a lower stream that takes over as the featured message spot if it becomes the highest bid stream. Every rented spot is an open Superfluid stream, so protocol volume scales directly with adoption. This is where all of our Season 7 growth effort for Superfluid goes.

For Rent signs are expected to go live Thursday, August 20.

1. Project Name Markee :placard: (For Rent)

2. Project Description Markee is open source digital real estate that funds the open internet. Communities embed onchain boards that anyone can pay to edit. For Rent is our new streaming rental model: the featured spot on a sign is rented through a continuous Superfluid stream rather than a one-time outbid. The highest active stream rate holds the top spot for as long as it flows, anyone can reclaim it by opening a higher stream, and an open spot displays “FOR RENT” onchain. Revenue splits 62% to the host community and 38% to the Markee Cooperative Revnet, owned by MARKEE token holders. Superfluid is the settlement layer for the entire product.

4. Project Readiness Markee is live in production since March 2026. For Rent launches next week, built on Superfluid rails.

5. How Does This Project Benefit $SUP Holders? For Rent makes Markee adoption and Superfluid volume the same number.

  • Every rented spot is a live open stream. Streaming volume scales one-to-one with For Rent adoption instead of settling as one-time payments. More signs live means more concurrent streams running.

  • Continuous rent, continuous volume. A held spot streams for as long as the renter holds it, so activity compounds rather than spiking and stopping.

  • Streaming revenue to host treasuries. 62% of rent flows continuously to the host community. Superfluid’s own board earns rent as an ongoing stream to its treasury.

  • Grows active streaming wallets. Every renter is by definition an active Superfluid streamer, directly compounding the metric the DAO tracks.

6. How Does the Project Use Superfluid? For Rent is Superfluid-native end to end:

  • Streaming rentals: the featured spot is rented via a continuous money stream. Highest active flow rate holds it; reclaiming the spot means opening a higher stream. Harberger-style ownership settled entirely in Superfluid.

  • Streaming revenue split: rent flows to the host community and the Cooperative Revnet as ongoing streams.

  • Contributor compensation: Markee also streams its own tokens to open source contributors via a Flow Splitter on Flow State, and via SuperLoops on Gyralis

7. Team Members Core Contributors: Paul (Founder), Jango (Juicebox/Revnets), Stefano (Flow State) Gossman (Gardens), Mati (Gyralis), Rohek.

12. SuperTokens Used For Rent signs are paid for using ETHx.

13. Current Daily Active Users ~10

14. Current Superfluid Volume ~$1k/mo. his is expected to grow substantially at launch, since For Rent turns every featured spot into a concurrent Superfluid stream. I can pull the current baseline from Dune.»

15. Fee Structure

  • 62% of all rent streams flow directly to the host community (Superfluid, Superfluid’s Markee).

  • 38% streams to the Markee Cooperative Revnet treasury.

  • Of the Cooperative’s 38%, a proportional share is issued to the host as MARKEE tokens, so hosts receive both streaming rent and a MARKEE allocation for their sign’s volume.

  • No platform subscription. Revenue is purely stream-based.

16. User Persona

  • Projects, DAOs, and individuals who want to buy attention or show the world their support for a digital community or website.

  • Crypto-native communities aligned with Superfluid’s mission, monetizing attention on their platforms while funding the open internet.

  • Host communities deploying a Markee to capture 62% of rent as ongoing streaming operating funds.

  • Autonomous agents renting and holding spots via agent-native Markees (SKILL.md / AGENT.md).
